I love connection. Connecting with you, connecting with others, and helping people find their people.

But since you asked: the threads that tie my life and career together are community, creativity, and communication.

I’m originally from Minneapolis, and I landed in Stockholm in 2012, after several years in both Chicago and New York City.

For a long time, I dreamed of a life surrounded by music. And I got to live quite a bit of that dream—playing in bands, working around music, and being part of the indie music community. Making things together. Finding somewhere to belong. Occasionally carrying very heavy equipment up very narrow stairs.

My professional journey has taken me through an independent guitar shop and Shure, a major microphone and audio manufacturer. I was a founding member of Etsy’s Policy team; led community, marketing, and product for a coworking startup; and became Head of Social Media, Community and Moderation at Star Stable—a video game about horses with an extraordinarily enthusiastic community of players. I’ve also led communications at TEDxStockholm, done communication strategy and operations at Reformaten, and worked with digital engagement at SAS Digital & IT.

These days, I work freelance in communication and community, in both English and Swedish, including with Gaia Matbar. I’m also back at school, studying Hållbar livsmedelsintraprenör at Folkuniversitetet. Food, sustainability, and how we might make our food system better have become a bigger part of the picture.

I’m still happiest working with fun, thoughtful people to build something meaningful together. Especially when it gives other people a reason to join in.
